SWF’s Ian Christensen Contributes to the 2024 COSPAR Assembly

SWF Senior Director, Private Sector Programs, Mr. Ian Christensen participated in the 2024 Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) Scientific Assembly in Busan, Republic of Korea. Mr Christensen contributed to several sessions at the Assembly including: presenting “An Assessment of Counterspace Threats in the Space Environment: Implications for the Research and Industry Segments,” as part of the Workshop on Research and Industry for Space Security as a COSPAR Associated Event on July 16, 2024; speaking on a panel session on “Achieving Escape Velocity from Red Tape: Space Law and Policy in the Final Frontier” on July 17, 2024; moderating a panel session on “Cosmic Clean-Up: Global Solutions for Orbital Debris on July 17, 2024, and giving on presentation on “Mitigating Impact of Space Activities on the Environment: Linking Science to Public Policy” to the COSPAR Panel on Potentially Environmentally Detrimental Activities in Space (PEDAS) on July 18, 2024.
