Dr. Brian Weeden Participates in Panel Discussion on Space Security at the U.S. Naval War College

SWF Director of Program Planning Dr. Brian Weeden spoke as part of a panel discussion on "Competition in the Space Domain" as part of the U.S. Naval War College's (NWC) 2023 Future Warfighting Symposium, which was held in Newport, RI, August 9-10, 2023. The annual symposium kicks off the academic  year for the more than 500 students from all six branches of the U.S. armed services, civilian employees of the U.S. federal government, and international military officers from 44 different nations who attend NWC. 

Dr. Weeden was joined on the panel by Dr. Namrata Goswami, Mr. Doug Loverro, and it was moderated by Dr. David Burbach, who is a professor at NWC. The panel discussed how space security issues have evolved over the last decade, the prospects for conflict on Earth to extend into space, and the growing role of the commercial space sector in armed conflicts on Earth.
