SWF Washington Office Director Ms. Victoria Samson and Director of Program Planning Dr. Brian Weeden participated in the 3rd meeting of the UN Open-Ended Working Group on Reducing Space Threats Through Norms, Rules, and Principles of Responsible Behaviours, which was held in Geneva, Switzerland, January 30 - February 3, 2023. The meeting brought together delegates from many countries who strove to identify norms of responsible behavior in space that would help make space more stable and predictable and to deal with space threats.

Additionally, Dr. Weeden gave a short statement based on SWF's working paper, "The Role Space Situational Awareness Can Play in Verifying Future Space Security Agreements." The working paper can be found on the official website for the OEWG, along with similar papers from other delegations and observers.
