Saturday, November 13, 2021

Secure World Foundation’s and Caelus Foundation’s work, alongside the Chinese Society of Astronautics, in an ongoing U.S.-Sino SPace Commercialization Dialogue was included in multiple aspects of the 2021 Paris Peace Forum (PPF).  The Paris Peace Forum is an annual event dedicated to mutual cooperation in addressing global challenges.

On November 11, 2021,  Secure World Foundation and Caelus Foundation held an informal Small Group Dialogue on Space Traffic Management and Space Safety between American and Chinese commercial space stakeholders on the margins of the Paris Peace Forum. This informal not-for-attribution dialogue was part of our foundations' ongoing dialogue and research program aimed at enhancing understanding of space commercialization perspectives between the U.S. and China.  We thank the expert American and Chinese stakeholders who participated in this discussion.  Participation in this event was by invitation only.

On November 12, 2021 a Panel Session entitled How to Establish a Space Commercialization Dialogue between the US and China? was held as part of the Paris Peace Forum agenda. This virtual session discussed Caelus Foundation and Secure World Foundation's experience over the last three years in working with the Chinese Society of Astronautics to establish a regular dialogue between U.S. and Chinese space stakeholders on trends and activities in space commercialization.

Presenters included Blaine Vincent Curcio, Founder, Orbital Gateway Consulting; José Ocasio-Christian, Chairman of the Board, Caelus Foundation; Ian Christensen, Director of Private Sector Programs, Secure World Foundation and pre-recorded remarks from our partners at the Chinese Society of Astronautics.

Please contact Ian Christensen for further information on this program.
