SWF Director of Program Planning Dr. Brian Weeden gave an invited talk on China's Counterspace Capabilities as part of a virtual seminar organized by the China Aerospace Studies Institute (CASI) for the U.S. Air Force's Air Combat Command. The event consisted of two panels of speakers. The first panel featured Mr. Kevin Pollpeter, a research scientist in the CNA China Studies Division, and Ms. Kristin Burke, a Deputy National Intelligence Officer for Space at the Office for the Director of National Intelligence’s National Intelligence Council, and focused on China's space capabilities and doctrine overall.

On the second panel, Dr. Weeden was joined by Mr. Todd Harrison, Director of Defense Budget Analysis and Director of the
Aerospace Security Project at the Center for International and Strategic Studies (CSIS) and Mr. Chris Stone, Senior Fellow for Space Studies for the Mitchell Institute’s Spacepower Advantage Research Center (MI-SPARC). Dr. Weeden gave a short overview of China's counterspace capabilities and the panel discussed policies, strategies, and techniques for how the U.S. should respond.
