SWF Director of Private Sector Programs Mr. Ian Christensen co-authored an article on the "Three Dimensions of Building Toward a Sustained Lunar Return" as part of The Space Report 36th Annual Symposium Edition. The Moon is reemerging as a focus for global space exploration activities, by both governments and commercial entities, at a level and tempo that will surpass the peak of lunar activities during the 1960s and 1970s. As this occurs, the sustainability — across multiple dimensions — of those activities comes into question. Mr. Christensen's article discusses the sustainability of lunar activities across exploration, environmental, and economic dimensions, suggesting attention needs to be paid to all three aspects to achieve a sustainable lunar presence.
