SWF Addresses the Orbital Debris Challenge in Webinar Hosted by the Brookings Institution

Washington Office Director Victoria Samson joined Jer Chyi Liou, chief scientist for orbital debris at NASA, to discuss "space junk," on a webinar hosted by the Foreign Policy program at the Brookings Institution. "Space junk—Addressing the orbital debris challenge," was moderated by Brookings Senior Fellow Frank A. Rose.

The growth of orbital debris presents the United States and the entire international community with several key challenges to the sustainability, safety, stability, and security of the outer space environment, and represents an ever-increasing threat to both human and robotic space flight.
