Hague International Space Resources Governance Working Group Continues Work on Building Blocks

SWF Director of Private Sector Programs Ian Christensen and Space Law Advisor Christopher Johnson participated in a face-to-face meeting of the Hague International Space Resources Governance Working Group in Leiden, Netherlands on April 15 and 16, 2019. Mr. Christensen chairs the Group's SocioEconomic Panel and during the meeting delivered a report of that Panel's work. At this meeting the Working Group conducted a complete review of the 19 Draft Building Blocks for the Development of an International Framework on Space Resources Activities in anticipation of finalizing those Building Blocks in November 2019. The Group anticipates concluding work on the Building Blocks at its next meeting, to be held in Luxembourg in November 2019.
