SWF Participates in Panel Discussion on Legal and Policy Frameworks for Geospatial Information Management

SWF Director of Space Applications Programs Krystal Wilson took part in panel discussion focused on “availability and accessibility of geospatial information” the Eighth Session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management in New York, NY. The side event aimed to raise awareness of participants on the importance and need to engage in multi-stakeholder discussions on legal and policy issues that could have an impact on the acquisition, accessibility and application of geospatial information. Ms. Wilson spoke about user perspectives on policy and legal issues in utilizing space applications for international development work.
