SWF Co-Hosts Space Security 2016

On April 28-29, 2016, the conference "Space Security 2016: Sustaining the Momentum: the Current Status of Space Security" was held in Geneva, Switzerland. SWF Executive Director, Dr. Michael Simpson gave the opening remarks, and SWF Washington Office Director, Victoria Samson gave a presentation on "The Role of Space Situational Awareness in Transparency and Confidence-Building Measures".

Organized by the United Nations Institute of Disarmament Research, in collaboration with the Secure World Foundation and the Simon Foundation; this conference discussed the foundations that underlie the civil, military, and commercial aspects of space.
