Laura Delgado López Presents at the 5th Annual Meeting of the CEOS WGCapD

SWF Project Manager Laura Delgado López participated in the 5th Annual Meeting of the Working Group on Capacity Building and Data Democracy (WGCapD) of the Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS). Hosted by the CEOS Systems Engineering Office at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Langley Research Center, the meeting was held in Hampton, Va., on March 30 - April 1, 2016.

The annual meeting included a Capacity-Building Summit in which WGCapD member agencies discussed lessons learned and best practices gained from their capacity-building activities. Ms. Delgado López gave a presentation at the summit entitled “Considerations for Leveraging Capacity-Building Activities,” which discussed the role SWF role plays in capacity building, including identifying related policy challenges that limit Earth observation data utilization. SWF has been an active member of the WGCapD since 2012 as part of its initiative on Human and Environmental Security.
