Laura Delgado López Joins International Committee Under AMS Board on Global Strategies

SWF Project Manager Laura Delgado López has joined the International Committee on Weather, Water, and Climate Strategies (ICWWCS) of the American Meteorological Society (AMS). ICWWCS sits under the Board on Global Strategies of the AMS Commission on the Weather, Water, and Climate Enterprise and seeks to “promote collaboration in the international weather and climate community by closely interacting with international weather, climate, agriculture, environmental and energy stakeholders toward the mutual benefit of all.” A particular focus of the committee is to raise awareness of the needs and interests of developing countries as these relates to weather, water, climate and related issues. Ms. Delgado López, who leads projects under SWF’s Human and Environmental Security focus area, was welcomed as a new committee member following Board approval during the 96th AMS Annual Meeting held in New Orleans, Louisiana.
