Laura Delgado López Joins Space Panel at tjSTAR

SWF Project Manager Laura Delgado López joined a diverse panel of space professionals at the Thomas Jefferson Symposium to Advance Research (tjSTAR) on June 9, 2015.  The annual, daylong symposium allows students to share their research projects and learn about potential career opportunities. The space careers panel was designed to expose students to the diversity of career paths available in the space field by engaging professionals in a discussion about what motivated them to enter the field and what issues they are most passionate about. Also participating in the panel were Carlos Niederstrasser, master systems engineer at Orbital ATK, Vincent Michaud, deputy chief health and medical officer at NASA, Stephanie Bednarek, government affairs manager at SpaceX, Emma Lehnhardt, operations research analyst at NASA, and Keith Jahoda, astrophycisist at NASA.
