Laura Delgado López Joins CNN en Español Panel Marking 45th Anniversary of Moon Landing

SWF Project Manager Laura Delgado Lópezjoined a panel of experts on CNN en Español’s “Choque de Opiniones” that examined the legacy of the Apollo Moon landing on July 20, 1969. Moderated by host Juan Carlos López, the panel also featured NASA planetary scientist Adriana Ocampo, former astronaut and President of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation Michael López-Alegría, and retired Colonel Eric Rojo, managing director at 'Magination Consulting International. The show aired last Sunday at 8pm EDT. 

In her remarks, Ms. Delgado López discussed the societal benefits derived from space activities, as well the role of space assets in promoting stability in the post-Cold War era. She also highlighted the shift towards greater cooperation in space, noting that the global space community now includes a diverse group of spacefaring nations, private companies, students and researchers, and other non-state actors.
