SWF Co-Hosts Panel Discussion on Earth Observation Satellite Data-Sharing: Policies and Partnerships

On Monday, July 15, 2013, Secure World Foundation partnered with the Commons Lab of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars to co-host a panel discussion, entitled "Earth Observation Satellite Data-Sharing: Policies and Partnerships," from 12 PM to 2 PM at the Carnegie Endowment for Peace. Selected experts examined issues in sharing Earth observation satellite data, including general challenges for data sharing, problems with coordinating data, questions about how the U.S. government makes data policy sharing decisions and how they relate to the larger international context, and overall assessments about the importance of data-sharing and international cooperation.
