Side Meeting at SmallSat 2024 | Masterclass: Communicating the Value of Space Activities
When: Tuesday, August 6, 2024
Time: 9:45-10:45 AM
Where: 38th Annual Small Satellite Conference | Logan, UT, USA
Space-based Earth observations have played a key role in addressing global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, disasters, and other socioeconomic and environmental issues, thanks to their ability to capture data over a range of spatial, spectral, and temporal resolutions. However, many space organizations have often struggled with effectively communicating the value of Earth observation and other space data assets to the public, policymakers, and end users.
This session brought together a panel of communications and space experts who discussed strategies to enhance public understanding of how space assets and data can drive action on Earth.
