GEO Week 2018

Where: Kyoto, Japan

The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) will hold its 15th annual plenary session in Kyoto, Japan at the end of October. The week surrounding the plenary is organized to bring together the Earth observations community with side events, regional meetings, and an exhibition of new technologies and data. SWF is a participating organization in GEO, and Director of Space Applications Programs Krystal Wilson is a member of the programme board. 

Ms. Wilson is also on the organizing committee of a the side event, Elevating Citizen Science at GEOSS on 29 October. This side event seeks to raise awareness in the GEO community of the importance and versatility of citizen-observed data.
