Near-Earth Objects: Addressing the Current Threat Level
When: Monday, July 8, 2013
Where: Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2325
The Secure World Foundation (SWF) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Center for Science, Technology, and Security Policy (CSTSP) are hosting a luncheon panel discussion event on Capitol Hill, Monday, July 8, 2013 from 12:00 to 1:30 PM in the Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2325. Given interest sparked by the recent meteor explosion over central Russia, the event will focus on near-Earth objects (NEOs), providing informed and scientific background on the topic for policymakers, current threat status, and an update on international efforts aimed at addressing the NEO threat. The event will be free and open to the public, but RSVP is needed, as lunch will be served.
