Brian Weeden Presents on U.S. Responses to Outer Space Threats at 18th International Symposium on Security Affairs in Tokyo

SWF Technical Advisor Brian Weeden gave a presentation on U.S. responses to outer space threats at the 18th International Symposium on Security Affairs in Tokyo, Japan, on November 30, 2015. The Symposium was organized by the National Institute for Defense Studies (NIDS) in Japan and brought together experts from the United States, Japan, and Europe to discuss space security issues and cooperation. 

Mr. Weeden's presentation covered U.S. policies, programs, and diplomatic initiatives since 2010 to respond to the growing awareness of space debris and counterspace threats to space capabilities, and  compared the progress made between the two areas. His full paper, along with those from the other speakers, will be published in a special volume by NIDS in 2016.
