SWF Participates in 4th U.S.-Vietnam Dialogue on Civil Maritime Domain Awareness

The 4th U.S.-Vietnam Civil Maritime Domain Awareness Dialogue was held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from May 8-11, 2018. The Dialogue brought together government and private sector experts from the United States and Vietnam to discuss ways to improve collaboration and enhance civil maritime domain awareness (CMDA). SWF Director of Program Planning participated as a member of the U.S. delegation and gave a presentation on the links between space sustainability, CMDA, and national space policy. Dr. Weeden's presentation discussed some of the ways that space capabilities can enhance CMDA and the challenges with ensuring the long-term sustainability of space. Dr. Weeden then talked about the SWF Handbook for New Actors in Space and how national space policy can help support space sustainability and national space activities.
