The Future of Satellite Communications and Implications for Militaries and Space Sustainability

SWF Director of Program Planning Dr. Brian Weeden participated in a panel discussion hosted by Defense One on the future of military satellite communications. Dr. Weeden was joined by Colonel George Nagy, Chief of Space Support to the Operations Division; Ms. Deanne Ryals, Chief of International Programs Division within the MILSATCOM Systems Directorate, Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Space Command; and Mr. Doug Loverro, President, Loverro Consulting, LLC, and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy. 

The discussion focused on the potential future capabilities of commercial satellite communications and the implications for militaries and space sustainability. A video recording of the panel can be found below.
