The Importance of Sustainability For the Future Development of Space

SWF Director of Program Planning Dr. Brian Weeden has authored a new blog posting for the World Economic Forum (WEF) on the importance of sustainability to the continued economic development of space. Writing in his role as a member of the WEF's Global Future Council on Space Technologies, Dr. Weeden outlines how the expansion and grown in space activities, particularly in the commercial sector, could lead to greater benefits for humanity. But in order for that to happen, we also need increased focus on space governance efforts to mitigate the potential negative implications of increased congestion and use of space.
