Brian Weeden Discusses Jamming and Cyber Threats to Satellites

SWF Technical Advisor Brian Weeden gave a presentation on "Electronic Warfare and Satellites: Challenges in Assuring Space Capabilities" at the 2016 Electronic Warfare Conference sponsored by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, October 25-26. The conference brought together experts in cyber security and electronic warfare to discuss trends and recent developments in the field.

Mr. Weeden's presentation provided a technical overview of jamming and cyber attacks on satellites, some examples of current capabilities from both state and non-state actors, and also discussed potential mitigation strategies. His slides can be found here.
