SWF Participates in Panel Discussion on North Korea's Space Ambitions

On June 14, 2022, the the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) held a virtual panel discussion on North Korea's space ambitions. The event was part of RUSI's work to try and better understand potential non-traditional security challenges that may arise from North Korea's pursuit of various advanced technologies. SWF Director of Program Planning Dr. Brian Weeden participated in the panel and provided a brief overview of North Korea's current space and counterspace capabilities. He was joined by Melissa Hanham, Affiliate with the Stanford Center for International Security and Cooperation, and Elizabeth Shim, Author of book “North Korea’s Nuclear Cinema: Simulation and Neoliberal Politics”, and the discussion was moderated by Juliana Suess from RUSI.
