Registration is Open for the 4th Summit for Space Sustainability
Secure World Foundation, along with co-host the
United Kingdom Space Agency, is pleased to officially open the registration for the 4th Summit for Space Sustainability, which will be held on June 22-23 at the Science Museum in London, England.

Building on the success of the past three events, SWF is committed to bringing the topic of space sustainability to even more diverse international audiences. With the theme “Global Priorities for Space Sustainability” this year, the summit will be a unique gathering of global stakeholders  to highlight opportunities and challenges for developing solutions for space sustainability. Please go to www.swfsummit.org for more information and to register.

How America Can Become a Leader in Cleaning Up Space
Director of Program Planning Brian Weeden has written a new op-ed in SpaceNews on how the United States can (and should) become a leader in cleaning up space. Dr. Weeden discusses how space debris remediation is an important part of dealing with the threat posed by orbital debris and why the United States needs to begin a national-scale effort to develop the capabilities to remove orbital debris. SWF Staff Contribute Virtually to the 59th Session of UNCOPUOS STSC
Dr. Weeden provided a pre-recorded statement under the Exchange of Views agenda item that provided an update on SWF activities since the last meeting of STSC. Dr. Weeden also gave a live statement under the Space Debris agenda item, highlighting why SWF believes orbital debris remediation needs to be part of the discussions at UNCOPUOS and a technical presentation in his role as Executive Director of CONFERS.
