Conference Discusses Challenges for European Space Industry in Light of Evolving Space Economy

The SDA Bocconi School of Management hosted a one-day invitation-only conference in Milan Italy entitled "The New Space Economy: Opportunities and Challenges for the European Space Industry."  The event discussed how increasing private sector activity and novel applications in the rapidly evolving commercial space sector are creating market and policy challenges (and opportunities) for space sector actors in Europe. SWF's Director of Private Sector Programs, Ian Christensen, was invited to speak to the conference on the subject of International Legal Frameworks for Space Resources Development. Mr. Christensen's presentation focused on the work of the Hague International Space Resources Governance Working Group, of which he is is a Member and SWF a partner.
