Thursday, January 18, 2018

SWF Director of Program Planning Dr. Brian Weeden participated in a panel discussion on "Threats and Vulnerabilities for Civil Space Systems" as part of a recent conference organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) on improving the resilience of civil space architectures. Dr. Weeden's remarks focused on environmental threats, such as space debris and space weather, that civil space activities will need to deal with, as well as adversarial threats such as interference or cyber attacks. Dr. Weeden also highlighted the very serious impacts a future military conflict in space could have for civil space activities.
