Natassa Antoniou Presents at the Seventh Group of Earth Observation European Projects' Workshop

The Seventh Group of Earth Observation European Projects' Workshop (GEPW7) brought together interested European stakeholders to present their work related to Earth Observation and to discuss how Europe can contribute to Group of Earth Observation (GEO) and Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) beyond 2015. The GEPW7 was hosted by CREAF (Centre for Ecological Research and Forestry Applications) of the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona (UAB) in Barcelona, Spain. The European projects showed their activities in the context of GEO in areas of biodiversity, agriculture and forestry ecosystems, infrastructure and data management, capacity building, climate and weather, disasters – supersites, private sector engagement and global initiatives (Blue Ocean, GEO Biodiversity Observation Network, GEO Global Agricultural Monitoring, etc.).

SWF is an Observer to GEO. Project Manager Natassa Antoniou participated in the workshop and made a presentation titled "Global Initiatives of Disaster Management - Where Do We Stand?". For more information about the workshop click here.
