SWF Actively Participates in the Sixth GEO European Projects' Workshop

The provisional topics for discussion at this workshop included the recently adopted Work Plan for the period 2012-2015, the future of GEO beyond 2015 and the GEOSS Data-CORE (GEOSS Data Collection of Open Resources for Everyone). European projects and other interested players had a platform to give their input to the future role of Europe in GEO. In addition, the workshop provided an opportunity for European projects to showcase their activities in the domain of Earth Observation, giving a high visibility to the European actions conducted in the context of GEO. SWF Brussels Office Director, Agnieszka Lukaszczyk, made a presentation titled "Building Appropriate Institutions to Support the Use of Earth Observations for Human Security". SWF Project manager, Natassa Antoniou, also attended.
