Workshop on the Role of the Investor and Lender Sector in Incentivizing Responsible Space Behavior

Secure World Foundation and the Spacetide Foundation co-organized a workshop on July 10, 2019 in Tokyo Japan on the topic of the “Role of the Investor and Lender Sector in Incentivizing Responsible Space Behavior.”

The workshop discussed the ways in which the investor/lender community could work with industry to encourage responsible space operations practices. It was a one-day event and is the first in a global series of similar events Secure World Foundation is organizing, with local partners, to capture perspectives from varied communities around the globe. Topics discussed, in panel presentation format, at this workshop included: 

  • Evolution of the commercial space industry
  • State of the space finance sector
  • Challenges in the space domain – investing perspectives
  • Perspectives on the role of the investing community in incentivizing responsible behavior
