2010 Beijing Orbital Debris Mitigation Workshop

This workshop discussed orbital debris mitigation, with a strong focus on potential methods for orbital debris removal, their technical feasibility, and potential legal and policy concerns. The workshop also discussed the potential problems created by large numbers of small satellites in Sun-synchronous orbits.
The workshop was co-organized by Secure World Foundation, International Space University, and Beihang University and took place at Beihang University in Beijing. Participants included faculty and graduate students from universities in China, Japan, Russia, the United States, Spain, and Canada.
