Marco Calderon

Marco Calderon is the Washington Assistant for Secure World Foundation where he supports the office staff in their daily duties and event logistics and coordination.  Prior to joining Secure World Foundation, Marco worked at a private elementary school in his hometown of Seattle, Washington.  During his undergraduate career, he interned at Napa State Mental Hospital where he assisted in patient rehabilitation.

Marco received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley, where he majored in Political Economics, with a focus on American Modern Warfare, and Psychology.  Following graduation, he was invited back to Berkeley as a guest lecturer on combat psychology and physiology.  Marco is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in International Relations at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC, and is concentrating in Strategic Studies and International Economics.  Within SAIS, Marco is co-president of the Defense and Intelligence Club and heavily involved in the Strategic Studies Department, where he is the 2012 Philip Merrill Fellow and will co-head the 2012 International Staff Ride.
